who are you?

hey. we're satellite, sati for short. we are known online as "sptnyk". some people call us halley, our fursona's namewe're 22 years old, jewish, and are also a system. (what is that?)we're a furry artist and a computer repairman on the side
we also study language (toki pona, russian) and astronomy
collectively, we use they/them. we do prefer you use alter-specific pronouns when available

this is our fursona, halley!

where can i contact you?

we're best contacted on discord @sptnyk or matrix @sptnyk:matrix.orgwe take our time to respond to DMs etc. due to having a low social battery. we generally have all notifications turned off, even when we appear online. please don't pester us for a response
we do like to chat when we're able to!

boundaries?

we have all notifications turned off, and will respond to you when we see your messagewe don't associate with the plural/system community due to differing beliefs, and we ask you to avoid bringing it up around us. however, we don't care what kind of system you are - plurality is an incredibly complex topic that's well out of our depth, and fakeclaiming helps no oneDID/OSDD-related questions are welcome, however we can't help you with diagnosis beyond "see a psychologist"you may ask who's fronting at any time, we don't mind!do not use our alters and their sonas as your own, or base your identity on themdo not vent to us. ask first if you're a friend

not very frequently asked questions

are you diagnosed with OSDD?

yes, we are actively in therapy and have been diagnosed with OSDD-1 as of 2026
we do not share our other diagnoses online, however
we aren't against self-diagnosis, however we do advise that system discovery is a very delicate process (as is everything related to parts work!), and we don't recommend jumping to "i'm a system, i have DID" unless you have ruled everything else out first

why share your diagnosis online? isn't that risky?

we view the internet as a space for our system to express itself without having to pretend to be a cohesive whole, as well as use it as an opportunity to spread awareness and de-stigmatise dissociative disordershaving a space where we can be open about the nature of how our brain works without judgement has been extremely helpful for our recovery journey, however we don't advise people do this as you are putting yourself at risk!!we don't share every little detail about our system. not every alter will show themselves, and the more sensitive aspects of our system (alter roles, triggers etc.) are kept private for the safety of our system

what's your opinion on non-disordered plurality?

we don't really associate ourselves with the plural community as we simply don't relate to their experiences. our plurality is a result of a dissociative disorder that has changed the way our brain functions on a fundamental levelhowever, we don't believe that all people who consider themselves plural are "faking". there are people in the world who obviously have no idea what they're getting themselves into, and think that plurality = extreme kinning of whatever fictional character you're fixated on, but they'll figure themselves out eventually

"It is essential to remember that patients who imitate DID (or any other
disorder) are deeply wounded and need the same compassion and good treatment accorded those with these actual diagnoses. Their core problem is typically identity confusion, but in a different way than patients with DID. Most of these patients have suffered serious emotional neglect as children and feel chronically
ignored, unseen, and misunderstood. [...]"

your website states you're jewish. are you a zionist?

no.as jacob geller said, "as a jew, every meaningful piece of my religion points towards supporting a safe and free palestine."

why do you refer to yourself as "we"? what's a system?

we have OSDD (other specified dissociative disorder), a mental disorder caused by repeat early childhood traumaas a result, our identity is fractured, resulting in us being multiple identity states rather than one. these separate identities are called "alters"occasionally, we will use unicode symbols to indicate which alter is speaking. whether or not we do this varies depending on if we know who's in front, and if they're comfortablebelow is a basic profile of each alter who wishes to show themselves, as well as the respectful symbol they use when talking
